Fun fact: that drawing of Alaxia isn't actually what I originally had in mind when I discussed uploading something in a past journal entry. I've come to realize that, among other flaws, I have trouble staying true to my commitments. Probably a good thing that I don't make many, yeah?
Maybe I'll actually do that Gunnerkrigg fanart like I promised. Or get around to drawing my Deviant ID now that I've got an idea to how I want it to look...

Thanks to design flaws with my scanner/printer, the lack of ink means I can't scan anything for a while, and I tend to like my work better when it's traced from pencil sketches. So yeah, it'll be a while before I get to those two deviations I'm working on. OTL

Bridging the Annan

So yesterday I received the request to have :thumb317339563: featured in #Bridging-the-Annan, the group for the wonderful webcomic Gunnerkrigg Court. It left me elated that someone actually REQUESTED it, but I couldn't help but feel guilty that my deviation was just a tracing of a panel with the path tool (hence why it's been in my scrapbook rather than my gallery).
So! I'm currently working on a deviation for my gallery, but when that is finished today or tomorrow, I'll get to work on an original piece for #Bridging-the-Annan! It won't be as good as some pieces, but I'll do my best! ^^

I was actually looking for some inspirations for Magical Girl designs in anticipation of a piece I've been meaning to do. I admittedly am not familiar with the genre, but something about it makes me want to try it out. Plus I have an inside joke with a friend about it, so I have an excuse now. xD
